TPF Certified Spotlight Artist for March Eden Salinas

Our March spotlight artist is Eden Salinas from Tioga, ND. Eden owns a Paul Mitchell focus salon called Edens Edge that offers haircuts, coloring and grooming. She also specializes in Production, Headshots, Bridal and Weddings, Special Occasions, Fashion, Hairstyling, Makeup Lessons and Waxing. What is your background? I have been a licensed hairstylist for 9 years and have owned my salon for a little over 5 years. I’ve always had a passion for making every feel their absolute best about themselves and that’s why I truly love about what I get to do every day. I get to help everyone see their true beauty and self. 

What made you decide to be a makeup artist? I have always had a dream of being a makeup artist on top of being a hairstylist. I had many plans of going to makeup school straight out of cosmetology school because I love the idea of the amazing creativity that comes with it and I love the idea of being able to make everyone feel and look their absolute best. 

Tell us about your business- Eden’s Edge is a full service salon where I offer cuts, colors, waxing, special occasion styling, and makeup. I have a unique passion for each service I provide. My absolute passion is for everyone who takes a seat in my chair to feel the absolute best about themselves, and I truly love that being a part of a Bride’s special day and being able to help make it relaxed and stress free is just another great part of what I’m meant to do. 

What has been your favorite event/client so far? I would honestly have to say that my favorite client has been someone who came into my salon wanted a completely new look and a little bit of a mommy makeover. Knowing that the whole time my client was relaxed and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere for something she doesn’t get to do real often, I loved that. When we first finished with her hair, she was so happy with it. We then did a full makeup application and to hear the words she said to me about how confident she felt and how she hadn’t felt like that in years, that brought me so much joy.  

How did you learn about The Perfect Face? I found about The Perfect Face from another TPF Artist who has doing my makeup for my wedding, and she had nothing but amazing things to say about The Perfect Face. 

Tell us about meeting Danielle for the first time? Danielle is seriously the absolute sweetest. Ever since learning about The Perfect Face, she has been someone I highly look up to so of course, I was a little scared and nervous about meeting her but the second we all started talking and getting to know her, she is seriously one of the most amazing people. 

What did you like about the course? There is so much to love about the TPF Certification course. Personally, I loved that we got taught so much more than I even expected and we all got to do so much hands on, creating different looks on different models every day. I also absolutely love the amazing sisterhood that you end up developing with those who are taking the course with you. 

Would you recommend this course to other students? Yes, 100%! I’m so thankful and grateful I got the opportunity to take this course so I will definitely tell everyone who has a passion for being a makeup artist that I highly recommend this course. 

What is your favorite TPF Cosmetics product? That’s such a hard question to answer, as I use pretty much all every day but I would say my two absolute favorites that I always am telling everyone about is the Gel Eyeliner and the Picture Perfect Foundation.
