Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

With all the eyelash curlers out there how do you decide which one is right for you and your clients? When choosing an eyelash curler, it's important to notice

  • The curve of the curler (does it fit a natural eye shape?
  • The comfort and grip
  • The quality of the lash pads

Many of our students come into our courses thinking that eyelash curlers will rip lashes out. No, this is not true when used correctly. A slight tug on the lash roots is normal but if you are feeling pinching or pain that is not. It's important to keep your hand still when curling and "pump" the curler DO NOT PULL. Your client may lose a lash or two but that is normal as we typically lose one to five eyelashes each day. They naturally fall out and replace themselves in a natural cycle every six to 10 weeks.

Here at TPF our go to is the Shu Uemura curler. This is the only eyelash curler we use at the studio and in our kits. They have improved the silicone pad and it doesn't crack and has a mushroom shape. This design provides a stay put edge for safety and the perfect curl. Happy curling!
