Positive or Negative?
Positive and negative thoughts can become self-fulfilling prophecies: what we expect can often come true. Are you naturally a positive or negative thinker?
- A pessimist thinks: I lost my job and I'll never find one as good again. No point even looking!
- A optimist thinks: I lost my job. Thank goodness there are other opportunities I can look into.
This can be hard to wrap your brain around if you are a pessimist. So correcting your mindset is the place to start. Changing your mindset is basically turning your negatives into positives. The first step is you HAVE to become aware of it. For a lot of people negative thinking is just a habit. We must train our brain to think differently.
It's actually medically proven that negative thinking can affect our health. In extreme cases it can lead to heart attacks, strokes and even death.
Becoming more positive can only be a good thing. Make it your mission to recognize those negative thoughts and immediately turn the corner and make them optimistic. Your health will thank you and so will your business.
